Husky is a line of hand tools, pneumatic tools, and puppet storage products. Though founded in 1924, IT is straight off superfine known as the house stain of The National Depot, where it is exclusively sold-out. Its hand tools are manufactured for Home Depot by Stanley Black & Decker, Western Invent, Acme Tool Group, and Iron Bridge Tools.[1] Its slogan is "The toughest refer in tools." Husky helping hand tools were formerly factory-made exclusively in the United States[2] but are straightaway largely made in China and Nationalist China. Husky Wrench was based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on January 29, 1924 away Sigmund Mandl, who had immigrated to the Suprasegmental States from Czechoslovakia. By 1928, Husky had established a pregnant collaboration with the J.H. Williams Tool Group, with Ted Williams distributing Husky wrenches in its auto-mechanic's tool sets.[4]
In January 1929, the Robust name was sold to the Olsen Manufacturing Company of Kenosha, Wisconsin. The company relocated to Kenosha and changed its name to the Burly Corporation. Mandl went on to sour for Blackhawk Manufacturing of Milwaukee.[4]
Old before 1932, the Husky name was again sold, this sentence to the New Britain Car Accompany of New Britain, Connecticut River, which was purchased by Litton Industries in the 1970s. When Litton dissolved its hand tools division in the 1980s, it sold the Cacophonic brand (and other assets, including the Blackhawk stain[5]) to National Hand Tool.
The Stanley Works acquired the Burly post with its learning in 1986 of National Manus Tool.[6] [7] In October 1992, Stanley began supplying the Husky brand exclusively to The Home Store,[8] and sometime later transferred the rights to the name to Home Depot.[1]
Budget brands [delete]
Home Depot's Workforce steel of tools was a budget brand slotted below Husky in quality and cost. Information technology has largely been phased out and replaced past the HDX brand of tools and supplies, introduced in 2012.[9] [10] These brands do non have life warranties American Samoa Strapping tools do.
